TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL PASSAGE

Please read Proverbs 9

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:36–40

DEVOTIONAL

by Dr. Nehemiah K. Sia

When we walk in Wisdom’s way, we have life, meaning, triumph, and purpose. But when we follow Folly’s path, then we reach destruction and failure. May the Lord grant us wisdom today in our choices and decisions so we can walk in the ways of the righteous and be blameless in our relationships. Each day, we make a number of decisions, and each decision we make can either lead us on the path of righteousness or lead us in the ways of the wicked. We can make that decision today and every day to make the wisest choice of truth. May we walk in integrity and trust in God’s truth because we know that God is the One who holds our life together, and He is the One who can give us a meaningful life that is forgiven. What does it mean to live a meaningful life? It starts with God’s love; when we experience it, we can pass it on.

When we love the Lord with all our hearts, then we can serve with joy. When we put him first, everything is put into order. Because when we serve God and serve people out of a genuine commitment, then we surrender to the Lord our hearts to be transformed by His grace because His love endures forever! May the Lord help us love Him and show His love to others in grace and truth!

Can you share an instance in your life when you had True Wisdom? How did the love of God break through your pain and sorrow?

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for giving us true wisdom to navigate life’s challenges, struggles, and concerns. Help us to love You with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. We can only do so much each day, and we need discernment not to be lured into the ways of the wicked but to walk in Your righteousness. So, help us, Lord. We pray in Your Name, Amen.
