It is a call to &#8220;die to oneself.&#8221; He may mean that our old self is to be put to death. But in this passage, Paul knew what really was his purpose, a purpose that was worth both living and dying for, and he was even ready to face death with boldness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foxe&#8217;s book of martyrs lists those who endured severe tortures and died gruesome deaths for the gospel, and the list continues growing today. Let&#8217;s reflect: When the testing comes, would we be able to stand firm, or would we deny our Savior to save ourselves?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twentieth-century reformer and martyr Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, &#8220;Life isn&#8217;t worth living until you have found something worth dying for.&#8221; An American missionary, Jim Elliot, martyred by the Aucas in South America for the gospel, once said, &#8220;He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.&#8221; Adding Matthew 16:25, which states, &#8220;For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\"><strong>PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heavenly Father, guide us to discern Your voice amidst life&#8217;s noise. Grant us the courage to obey Your call, trust Your plans, and follow Your path. Help us distinguish between advice and Your guidance. May our lives reflect Your wisdom and obedience.
